How to Send a Gift Card on WhatsApp in 10 Seconds

Digital gift cards are now the most popular way to gift in India — fast, traceable, and you don't have to worry about sizes, colours or pin codes. Here's exactly how to send one.

The 3-step flow

1. Pick the brand (15 seconds)

On LoyltyKart, search the recipient's favourite brand — Tanishq, Nykaa, MakeMyTrip, whatever. Pick a denomination between ₹250 and ₹1,00,000.

2. Choose 'Gift this' (5 seconds)

Instead of 'Buy for myself', toggle to Gift this. Enter:
  • Recipient's name
  • WhatsApp number (with +91)
  • A personal message — 'Happy birthday, Ma. Go pick something you'd never buy for yourself.'

3. Pay (10 seconds)

UPI, card, or netbanking via Razorpay. The voucher reaches their WhatsApp within 10 seconds.

What to write — the message makes the gift

A generic 'Happy birthday!' is fine. These land better:

  • For parents: 'For the time you never took for yourself.'
  • For siblings: 'Stop borrowing mine.'
  • For a friend going through a rough patch: 'I don't have answers. But dinner's on me.'
  • For a colleague: 'Genuinely glad we work together. Enjoy.'
  • For your partner: 'Proud of you today. Always.'

Can they redeem it if they don't have WhatsApp?

Yes. Every gift card comes with a 16-digit code + PIN. If WhatsApp delivery fails, we also fall back to email or in-app viewing.

Frequently asked

Can I schedule delivery for the exact birthday date? Yes, every gift card supports future scheduling.

What if the recipient doesn't use the card? The balance stays on the card until expiry — usually 1 year from issuance.

Can I send one card to multiple people? Not one — but you can bulk-gift the same brand to several phone numbers in one checkout.
